1. Who we are

StudioPlated ("we", "us", "our") is an individual proprietorship operated by Aarav Jain, trading as StudioPlated, selling customised decorative number plates through studioplated.in. Our mailing address is Parkside, Lodha Park, Mumbai 400013, India. By placing an order or using this website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or place an order.

2. What we sell: novelty décor only

Every product sold by StudioPlated is a decorative novelty item, intended for display in a home, room, studio, garage, or similar private space. Our plates are not government-issued vehicle registration plates, are not manufactured to any official High Security Registration Plate (HSRP) or Regional Transport Office (RTO) standard, and must not be fitted to, or used to identify, any motor vehicle on a public road.

You are solely responsible for how you use the product after purchase. StudioPlated accepts no liability for any fine, penalty, seizure, legal action, or other consequence arising from a customer using a decorative plate as if it were an official vehicle registration plate, or from any other misuse of the product.

3. Orders and customisation

Each plate is made to order using the text, colour style, and lettering option you submit at checkout. You are responsible for checking spelling, spacing, and content before completing payment. We reserve the right to refuse an order containing content that is unlawful, hateful, defamatory, infringing, or otherwise objectionable, including impersonation of a genuine vehicle registration number.

The on screen live preview is a close approximation only. Due to differences in screen display, lighting, and manufacturing, the actual colour, finish, and material of your plate may vary slightly from what is shown during customisation.

Plate text is limited to a maximum of 12 characters. Numeric characters (0 to 9) take up approximately 1.5 times the width of alphabetic characters in our lettering, so text containing more numbers may appear more compact on the plate than text of the same length made up mostly of letters.

4. Pricing and payment

All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (₹). Shipping is calculated and shown at checkout. Payment is processed securely by Razorpay through Shopify's checkout; we do not store your card, UPI, or banking details ourselves.

5. Intellectual property

The StudioPlated name, logo, website design, and content are the property of StudioPlated and may not be copied, reproduced, or used commercially without our written permission. Purchasing a plate gives you the right to own and display that physical item; it does not transfer any brand or design rights to you.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StudioPlated's total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, including any loss arising from misuse of the product as described in Section 2.

7. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms or an order shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on this page at the time of your order applies to that order.

9. Grievance Officer

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, the Grievance Officer for StudioPlated is:
